In past posts, I've mentioned the power of learning from authors who write the books you love to read. GGW member Don Bowyer says he's doing just that and has the following title to recommend for fantasy writers:
I’m working on 2 books right now, with another one taking shape. Also I’m reading an outstanding new author, N.K. Jemisin (The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms) The Inheritance Trilogy. When you can’t wait to keep reading the book, you know it is good. I’m learning from her, too.
Thanks for the recommendation, Don.
In my next post, I hope to address the following question:
Should female authors use a male, or at least androgynous, pseudonym to increase their chances of getting published? (Consider the name of today's author, N. K. Jemison.)
What do you think?
