I'll be selling copies of Growing Great Characters and The Wind Thief tomorrow, Sept. 17, at a book fair that raises money for a math scholarship at San Jose State University in San Jose, CA:
The Paul F. Byrd Autumn Book Festival
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sat., Sept. 17
Divine Science Community Center
1540 Hicks Ave., San Jose, CA
Money raised through used book and CD sales will fund the scholarship, named after a former SJSU math professor.
The festival will include:
• free kids' books for kids 14 and under
• book giveaways
• author appearances
If you get a chance, come out to support a good cause.

I'd be there in a flash if I could, Martha. It's a worthy cause. Hope lots of people come out and support it.
During my reading the other night it slipped out that I found The Wind Thief to be an outstanding read and I hoped those present checked the book out. I wasn't as surprised that I mentioned it as much as my own response. Even after all this time I'm still moved by the story and want everyone to read it so they can feel the way I do.
It's an excellent book, Martha, and I'm so proud to know you.
